Varicose veins can be much more than a cosmetic issue.
Varicose Veins are the bulgy and lumpy veins that are experienced by anybody irrespective of gender. These are the enlarged veins present in any part of the body, however they are mostly found in feet and legs. The bulging veins are dark in color having the shades of purple and blue. The pressure exerted on lower body while standing and walking have made this part of the body more susceptible to varicose veins. Another form of varicose veins is known as spider veins. The veins in this condition are smaller and the color may vary from purple to red. Spider veins are mostly visible on face and legs.
Having varicose veins would be painful, discomforting, and even aesthetically unwanted for many. As stated by Human Health and Science Department, about 55% of women and 45% of men over 50 years of age in U.S. suffer from this chronic condition.
Varicose veins can form anywhere in the body, but they are most often located in the legs.
